Marco Mongillo, PGA Head Golf Professional

Marco began playing the game of golf at the age of 13 in his home country of Canada.  Summers were spent in fierce competition with his father and brother, both accomplished golfers in their own right.  After meeting his wife Ginger and moving to the Upstate in 2002, Marco began a career in the golf industry at Greenville Country Club’s Chanticleer course.  Immersing in the game of golf, he chose to further his career by taking the PGA of America’s Playing Ability Test and starting the Golf Professional Training Program.  While garnering valuable experience at various private clubs in both South Carolina and Georgia, Marco achieved PGA Membership in 2013.  During this time, Marco focused his training in Golf Operations, Tournament Management and Customer Service.  He brings this expertise to our operation in hopes of elevating our Golf Operation to new heights.  Marco and Ginger, have been married for 17 years and have a 10 year old daughter named Mia.  They are leaving the quiet rural area of Eatonton, Georgia to come back to the Upstate and become part of the Spartanburg community.
